Jay Z featuring J Cole - A Star Is Born

The production on this one is amazing, not sure who produced it though. Loving J. Cole's verse too. anyone saying Hove fell off after hearing this really isn't listening properly, seriously.

Jay Z featuring Kanye West - Hate
Love this track! Totally appropriate for the buying fraturnity, and music industry heads alike, with nothing but negative gas to let off about Jay and whether The Blueprint 3 will be a classic - BEFORE they've even heard it. You've got to have love for those guys.Click here to download

Drake Featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Eminem - Forever

I couldn't find a picture of all of them but Drake on his own will do ;-)
Four of the hottest lyrisists in the game on one track? Do I even need to tell you whether its dope or not?! Props to lilwayneHQ for letting it off early.

Usain Bolt
“When I was in the Olympics, I didn’t really listen to music. During the Olympics, it was mainly reggae, a little hip-hop. But I like Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, those guys. That’s who we listen to in Jamaica. A little bit of Ludacris. But as long as it’s hot, we got it.”“Right now, it’s Lil Wayne, #1. He’s hot. He’s got everything. He sings the right tunes. I’m seriously listening to all his songs right now. Really sitting down, listening to his lyrics, and he’s got his lyrics pat now. He’s got his lyrics. He’s coming up like Jay-Z. He’s smooth. He’s got a different flow from Jay-Z, but lyrics-wise, he’s got it. He’s a lyricist. Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, I don’t care who comes third. These guys have the whole place on edge man. It’s hot.”

These babies cost between about £100,000 - £205,000! Absolutely beautiful though.
Jay Z - Venus Vs Mars
Am I the only one wondering why the only leaks from The Blueprint 3 are produced by Timbaland? The mice in his studio must have access to the internet and filesharing websites because this is the third in a row!But anyway Jay Z has snatched back the flow he used in Blue Magic (American Gangster), and its another hot Timbo production. This is like back in the day when no two joints were the same but you still new it was Timbo owning the buttons. Only he could make a hit with Aaliyah on a track using a sample of a baby crying.

Amy Winehouse
Now everyone one knows how much I love Miss Winehouse and her music but this spoof is so funny! I can imagine Amy being just like this after losing the pub quiz and drowning her sorrows.
Major props to Christina Allen (via her twitter account), for telling me to watch it and the creator for the time and effort they clearly put in. If only everyone on X-Factor was this good - infact she's better than some of the acts currently in the UK charts!

The life and times of Jay Z
MTV have set about airing a series dedicated to the career of Jay Z coinciding with the imminent release of The Blueprint 3. I'm not sure when exactly it airs in the States but I'm guessing it won't be until a week or two after that it airs over here in the UK.
If not, hopefully someone will upload to one of the vieo sharing websites. I'll keep you updated.
Run This Town (director's commentary)
Please note that this is just a spoof - nothing to do with the actual making of the video.
These guys are too funny, especially when they rib Dame Dash and LL Cool J.

Snoop Dogg wants to be a millionaire
This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Not entirely sure why he starts at $25,000 and can only go up to $50,000 when the show, and his sweater, say millionaire.
Jay Z - Reminder
My track record speaks for itself, I'm so instrumental...Two leaks in two consecutive days? Damn!
Timberland and Jay Z have been cooking up a storm in the studio that's for sure, the production on this beasty and Jay's lyrics are sick!!

Musical Statues / Migrane Skank (piano acapella)
Even though this was only done as a mess around I quite like it, watched it twice already. Feeling the Migrane Skank a lot more than the Musical Statues rendition though.
A diamond in the dirt
Apparently JR Aquino, a New York native, was refused a record deal with the reason cited being because they way he looks doesn't "fit" the quota of what's deemed acceptable in the music world and the record charts. Not entirely sure how true this is, but if it is true it sucks - BIG TIME!
This guy has such an awesome voice and as far as I'm concerned you hear music, you don't see it! Whether he has blonde and blue eyes or wears his trousers half way down his bum with a limp, I couldn't care less as long as his vocals are tight.
Check out a couple of his videos below

Omarion featuring Lil Wayne

Omarion sing/rapping?! I'm not feeling it! Infact the production is pretty weak aswell but Lil' Wayne is a saviour that's the only reason I'm posting it. Don't take my word for it though, have a listen yourself and see what you think.

Estelle featuring John Legend & Ludacris - All Night Long
I'm not entirely sure about this one; maybe because I grew up listening to the Lionel Richie original. Although I love John Legend the chorus doesn't really do it any justice, but Estelle is definately doing her thing in the States and Luda's verse is on point as always.Jay Z featuring Drake - Off That
Another leak from The Blueprint 3 - a collabo with Drake (even though he's only on the hook), the production is nothing short of amazing. Timbaland back to his best instead of the generic sounds he's become famous for of late.Click here to download
Fabolous featuring Jay Z - When The Money Goes (video)
I absolutely love this song. The original, which is just Jay Z by himself, leaked sometime last year but it would seem he's not interested in doing anything with it so Fabo has basically been handed free a hit!
It's a great video, and even with Jay only on the hook Fabo definately does it justice.
DJ Jazzy Jeff
Jazzy Jeff talks about being a featured animation and having a song in the video game DJ Hero, from the makers of Guitar Hero, and it's ability to enable game players to experience music in a different way. Players have the ability to virtually mix and scratch their way through an array of genres including Motown, Hip Hop and R&B and as Jazzy says, "if you get really good at DJ Hero, run to the music store and buy a turntable and a mixer. Because you definately may have a career".

Ryan Leslie featuring Consequence - You're Not My Girl (remix)
Another Ryan Leslie track has leaked just as I was about to go to bed, but not before I had a listen - obviously. This guy is too fly! The late 70's/early 80's Funk feel has got me bubbling from the jump, absolutely love it. Liking Consequences' verse aswell.
Jay Z - The Blueprint 3 (artwork and tracklist)
I guess we won't be hearing anymore complaining from Kanye about his "big brother", seeing as he's all over the album.
But on another note; is it wrong for me to be overly excited just by artwork leak? Come on, it's Jigga - I LOVE Jigga!

Ryan Leslie
I don't need to go into why R-Les is such a beast anymore, I think I've convinced you enough. Instead I'm going to let you watch this video of him in the studio producing and voicing a track with Rick Ross. The track, Maybachs & Diamonds, was initially supposed to be on Rick's album, Deeper Than Music, but didn't make the final cut due to a schedule mix up. Hopefully it will see the day of light on Ryan's forthcoming album, Transition, later on this year - or maybe even Rick's next.
There are also a couple of official Ryan Leslie remixes that aren't circulating just, yet so grab them now. One being a remix of the UK's very own Bluey Robinson and his debut single, I Know which is hot! If you liked the original, watched the video I posted a while back and are a fan of oldschool R&B/Hip Hop you will love it.
The other is by the talented songstress Mya - we all know home girl can sing so I don't even need to hype it up.

Jay Z featuring Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town (remix)
I'm addicted to the thrill...Not totally sure whether this is an official remix or Ted Smooth just got hold of the accapella and decided to do his thing - to be honest it's probably the latter but it's a nice refix so no harm done. For all those who weren't really feeling the original, this one might be for you.

Kanye West
We all know Yeezy does everything big, so I doubt anyone was suprised to see this one-off birthday cake in form of his infamous Nike shoe. I for one wouldn't have even let anyone cut - you'll have to work out for yourself whether it's because I'm a big fan of the design or I want the whole cake to myself.Wednesday, 12 August 2009
African Booty Scratcher (short film)
Nikyatu Jusu is an American of Sierra Leonean decent whose love for film making led her to study in a competitive film program at New York University.
African Booty Scratcher is her first short film; highlighting the struggles teenagers face when realising their traditions and practices conflict with the views and idealisms of the Western world - even in a society where being liberal is apparently the 'norm'.
Nikyatu was a finalist in the American Black Film Festival's shorts division enabling African Booty Scratcher to be acquired by HBO where it is currently on air in the States.

DJ Smasherelly - How I Do (mixtape)
Most of you will know Smasherelly as the official DJ for Estelle and will probably have seen him tearing up parties, live shows and gigs all over the globe with the UK songstress. When he isn't dropping beats for Estelle he's also a talented producer and a fellow music geek who I've been listening to since his days on London's cult radio station, Bassline FM.At the beginning of the year he put out a mixtape alongside former Danity Kane member D.Woods, the first in her Independence Day series. Now he has dug into the archives and re-released a free mixtape he put out a few years ago. If you're into Hip Hop/R&B, scratching and blending then this one is definately for you. It features tracks from Ryan Leslie, Bobby Valentino, Estelle and Amerie.

Tattoos
I absolutely love tattoes! For me they're like street art (graffiti), not random scribbles or vandalism in public areas but works of art and/or visual expression when created with a genuine passion.
I haven't got the B's to get one myself and infact I never would - the idea of injecting ink, or anything for that matter, into my skin doesn't really appeal but I love looking at the original ideas people have permanently etched into various body parts and finding out the meanings behind them.
Recently tatts have been popping up everywhere since celebs such as David Beckham, Pink and Travis Barker made them "cool". I asked to see pictures of people's tatooes via Twitter the other day and have decided to post a few along with some others I found lurking. Most of them were pretty awesome and intricate, some just plain boring (and already reproduced to death), then came the others which made me wonder why the hell someone would put such rubbish on their skin and think it looked cool!

L: one of my favourite characters from the 80's; ALF
R: addiction gone wrong? I love my blackberry, but come on!

I'm not really a fan of big tattooes on women but if I ever lost my mind and decided to get one - these turntables would be right up my street.

Everytime I see this I laugh out loud, the tick doesn't even look right. I hope for his sake this is actually felt-tip pen and the photo was staged otherwise he had better keep his top on all summer.
